Are you living out your God-given purpose, or have you traded it away without realizing it? This message digs into one of the most important questions a believer can ask: what does it truly mean to have a birthright, and what happens when we settle for less than what God placed inside us before we were born. Sunday Morning Service: 10AM Monthly Prayer Gathering: First Tuesday of Each Month 5AM
YOUR BIRTHRIGHT | Gene Wolfenbarger
The Beatitudes are the constitution of the kingdom of God, and they set the standard for how followers of Jesus are meant to live every day of the week. Today, Pastor Gene walks through the final four beatitudes found in Matthew 5. And there is a very important key found in this passage regarding unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is the one thing that will shut down a prayer life completely, no matter how disciplined or devoted a person may be. So, the call this week is simple but not easy: allow the Holy Spirit to identify an area in your life that you have been withholding mercy, and take one concrete step toward forgiveness. The Blessed Family: A Guide to Spiritual and Relational Health - Part Three
Many Christians go through the motions of church life without ever experiencing deep, lasting transformation. At the center of the Sermon on the Mount sit 66 words that Jesus placed there intentionally: the Lord's Prayer. These words are not simply a prayer to recite but a path to walk, forming the root system from which a truly transformed life grows. The Beatitudes open the Sermon on the Mount with a picture of what a genuinely transformed person looks like, from humility and mourning to meekness and a hunger for righteousness. Real discipleship is not about attending more services or completing more programs. It is about allowing those 66 words, prayed faithfully and consistently, to do a quiet and powerful work beneath the surface of the soul. The Blessed Family: A Guide to Spiritual and Relational Health - Part Two
Two men faced the same storm. One stood firm. One collapsed. The difference was not the storm itself but the foundation beneath each man. Jesus made clear in the Sermon on the Mount that hearing His words is not enough. A man must put them into practice. When a man's heart is divided between God and the things of this world, everything suffers. His marriage suffers. His children suffer. He suffers. The call is simple but demanding: seek first the kingdom, get planted in the Word, and build on the only foundation that holds when the storm arrives. The Blessed Family: A Guide to Spiritual and Relational Health - Part One
The closing declaration of the Lord's Prayer - Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory - is more than just words; it's a powerful spiritual tool. Rooted in King David's worship in 1 Chronicles 29, this declaration accomplishes four key things in our spiritual lives. It opens heaven's gates through praise, grants us permission to access our authority as joint heirs with Christ, helps us surrender control to God's perfect will, and serves as our confession of God's unchanging sovereignty. When we declare these words, we shift the spiritual atmosphere and position ourselves to receive everything God wants to give us.  Join Us In Person on Sundays: 10:00AM - Teaching Service Follow Our Socials: Instagram - @thegatheringchurchtn Facebook - www.facebook.com/GatheringFamily
The Prayer: From Routine to Revival - Part Twelve
Scripture consistently portrays God as a deliverer who sees His people's suffering and actively intervenes. From the Exodus, where God declared He had come to deliver His people from Egyptian bondage, to Daniel's rescue from the lion's den, to Hezekiah's miraculous deliverance from the Assyrian army, we see a pattern of divine rescue. These accounts reveal God's character as one who responds to desperate cries for help with swift and decisive action. And the beautiful truth is that He still delivers His children today. Whatever it might be that you need rescuing from, call out to Him today. The Prayer: From Routine to Revival - Part Ten
Scripture reveals that Jesus constantly intercedes for us at the Father's right hand. When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we can envision Jesus translating each petition to the Father on our behalf. As we ask for God's name to be hallowed, Jesus tells the Father how we want Him at the center of our lives. When we pray for His kingdom to come, Jesus asks the Father to expand His work in our lives. Each petition becomes an opportunity for Jesus to advocate for God's perfect will, provision, forgiveness, protection, and glory to be manifest. Enjoy this message from one of our elders as we see the prayer from a new perspective. The Prayer: From Routine to Revival - Part Eleven
When Jesus taught us to pray 'Lead us not into temptation,' He wasn't suggesting God tempts us. God tests us through external circumstances to build spiritual maturity, while Satan uses our deceitful hearts to turn these tests into internal temptations toward sin. The key difference is purpose: God's tests refine and strengthen our faith, while temptations seek to destroy it. We must learn to watch and pray, recognizing that spiritual warfare is ongoing throughout our lives. Rather than treating persistent sins like comfortable companions, we need to wage aggressive war against them using Scripture, prayer, fasting, and biblical community as our weapons. The Prayer: From Routine to Revival - Part Nine
The fifth petition of the Lord's Prayer reveals a revolutionary approach to relationships through forgiveness. Understanding how much God has forgiven us becomes the foundation for forgiving others. This petition impacts our relationships with fellow believers, unbelievers, and future connections God wants to bring into our lives. On the other hand, unforgiveness opens doors to the enemy and creates bitterness that affects not just us, but everyone around us. True forgiveness is unconditional, reflecting Christ's sacrifice on the cross. When we choose to forgive, we become unoffendable and demonstrate the radical love of God's kingdom to a watching world. The Prayer: From Routine to Revival - Part Eight
The fourth petition of the Lord's Prayer teaches us to ask God for our daily bread. Jesus uses the word give to remind us that our Heavenly Father is generous and willing to provide, just as He gave His own Son for us. May this teaching be a blessing to you today. The Prayer: From Routine to Revival - Part Seven
When Jesus taught us to pray 'Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,' He was inviting us into a restoration of what was lost in Eden. The fall began not with behavior, but with distrust when Adam and Eve chose their will over God's good will. In this week's message, April walks us through "Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." And it's our prayer that the Father's good and perfect will would come in your life today! The Prayer: From Routine to Revival - Part Six
When Jesus taught us to pray "Thy kingdom come," He was inviting us to ask for God's perfect reign to be established in our lives. The Kingdom of God isn't a distant place but refers to God's rule and authority. This Kingdom is both a present reality and a future hope awaiting complete fulfillment. Throughout the Old Testament, God desired to rule His people directly, but they repeatedly chose human kings who ultimately failed. Jesus came as the perfect King, demonstrating a Kingdom that operates through sacrifice and service rather than force and power. When we pray for God's Kingdom to come, we're asking Him to replace our imperfect rule with His perfect governance in every area of our lives. Listen to Pastor Corey’s message this week on this petition of The Prayer and letting God’s Kingdom reign in your life.
